The members of the Nepali football team faced a setback when their visas didn’t arrive on time, preventing them from traveling to England for practice matches.
The team had flights scheduled at different times on Tuesday—9:30 am, 1 pm, and 7 pm—but unfortunately, they couldn’t proceed due to the delayed visas. Suresh Shah, the spokesperson for the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), confirmed that players, coaches, and officials were unable to travel.
British Embassy in India Delayed the visa: Practice Match Plans Are Dashed
The visas, issued by the British Embassy in India for a team of 35 people, including Nepali players, were delayed in transit, causing the unexpected holdup.
Shah mentioned that efforts are underway to arrange for the players to depart for Britain at 2 pm on the same Tuesday. The team had plans to play practice matches against England’s C team during their visit.
